Every time I notice a character issue in my son that needs to be addressed, my attention is drawn to at least two issues of my own!
That would be fine, you know? Except...what does it mean? Am I to NOT deal with these in my son as a parent? How do I do it anyway? If I'm supposed to help my son, why do I always see my own problems as if I need to deal with myself first? Really, if I have to wait until I'm perfect, my son will be grown and out on his own!
